Similar to the trend of maxi tees and shirts, the shirtdress is another item that is seen everywhere online. Personally I prefer the shirtdress over the maxi shirts and tees. It can be dressed up with heels, but it can also be worn with sneakers. However, the preference nowadays is for the shirtdress to be worn with pants underneath (something that I would not do for sure – it does not look good on me).
Here are two designer pieces that have caught my eye. My top pick is the Rodebjer dress. I like the white colour and it has a classic look overall. The Great grey dress is very nice and versatile because of its neutral colour.

Personally I have a preference for my clothing to be in solid colours. What I like about the Selected Femme dress is its bright green colour. The endless rose shirtdress has some embellishments all over making it more special.
Even though I like solid colours, I do have a weakness for stripes. It is the main reason why I bought the dress at the bottom (the one with mixed black and white stripes), available at Pixie Market. So far I am happy with my purchase and I am planning to wear it with my black sneakers. If you have a preference for a tomboy look, the Madewell dress with a red plaid is nice. I saw the dress at a local Madewell store, and the online picture does not make it justice. The print is beautiful, and nobody can go wrong with plaid (my favourite print on scarves). The Solid & Striped shirtdress has a windowpane print, a trend that has been popular for a while.
