Spring / Summer Trend 2014: Eyelets and Slouchy Jumpsuits

I have always liked eyelets and perforations on fabrics and leather. I own three pairs of perforated shoes and two white eyelet cotton dresses. This summer eyelets on cotton fabric is a major trend. However, this time eyelets follow a lattice pattern. Here are my top picks.

My first two pins show a beautiful Carven dress (more than $500 USD). Of course, this is my top pick. This dress is available in a white. However, I have included similar more affordable items. Some of the items for below $100 USD are the MinkPink romper, the pink Forever 21 skater skirt, the BB Dakota dress, and the JOA eyelet tee. For below $200, I have included the beautiful ivory white dress from Madewell, the Ella Moss ivory skirt (also available in black), the MM Couture and the Dolce Vita dresses, and the Nanette Lepore dress. TIBI’s set of two pieces are above $200.

I own the Madewell dress in size 4. When I tried it on I fell in love with it. The length is perfect (midi) and the pattern is so pretty. This dress is also available in a shade of navy blue. I do not own the Ella Moss skirt but I sincerely cannot take my eyes away from it (I love midi skirts). I also own the JOA tee and it is a tee of good quality for the price (below $50 USD). I recommend to check JOA items at Shopbop.com. They are so cute and trendy, and priced below $100. Here are my JOA picks:

I am not a big fan of slouchy jumpsuits even though they look awesome on Gwen and Laura (Da Vinci’s Demons actress). I tend to go for a little bit less slouchy, and in plain colours due to my height (163 cm), so my top picks are the BCBGMAXAZRIA pink jumpsuit and the Vince jumpsuit. I also like the NSF jumpsuit (almost sold out at Free People). I own a pair of slouchy pants from this brand, and the quality and fit are great. Their products are made in the United States.

Next post will be about Bran Stark’s plot line for Game of Thrones Season 4 (spoiler alert).

  1. Great fashion picks. I’m glad jumpsuits are back I love them, I can’t wait to start wearing mine, they are very elegant and great for casual and sophisticated occasions.
