Growing up with two older brothers gave me an appreciation for science fiction and fantasy movies. As a result, we are all fans of Star Wars in my family. Yesterday I went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and I enjoyed watching it. Of course, my brothers started to discuss the different theories that have been published online after the movie. When I came home, I decided to do a little research, and found a post explaining certain theories in detail. Here is the link.
In regards to Rey, my husband thought that she might be a clone of a Jedi knight. In fact, somebody has already speculated that she might be a failed attempt to clone Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader. I tend to agree with the theory that she is probably Obi-Wan Kenobi’s granddaughter. When I suggested this theory to one of my brothers, he immediately agreed with it (I shared the link with him). This is my brother’s response to the theory.
It never occurred to me that Rey is Kenobi’s grand daughter, but it makes sense because his voice is heard in the visions . . . It is also not far fetched because we do not know someone that Luke was with. Ben Kenobi also makes sense because Rey is good with mind control, something that Kenobi was also good at, and to top it all, both Ben and Rey display this skill mind controlling storm troopers.
The link also includes an interesting theory concerning the identity of Snoke (the Grand Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels???). I will not be writing much about Star Wars myself since I am not a crazy fan like one of my brothers and my cousin but I will be posting interesting links.
